Reddit Ads

Overview

To accurately track performance from Reddit Ads in Ruler Analytics manual URL tagging is required to allow you to utilise Rulers built in reports.

Implementation

As there is no tracking template within Reddit Ads, URL tagging can be setup at Ad-Level on the destination URL.

Navigate to Ad Creation, and select your campaign
Open the Ad Group and select 'Edit'
Tracking can then be applied to the end of the 'Destination URL'

A final URL example may look something like

https://www.example.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign={{CAMPAIGN_NAME}}&campaign_id={{CAMPAIGN_ID}}&adgroup_id={{ADGROUP_ID}}&ad_id={{AD_ID}}

Testing & Validation

Before launch:

Click your ad preview
- Confirm URL parameters populate correctly
